Park Homes & Modular Buildings

Modular Homes and Commercial Design Development

Park homes and modular commercial buildings are a great way to save time and money. Commercial buildings are huge and take a lot of time to set up. Residential buildings will often not take as long. Prefabricated buildings cut this time down in months pushing projects and production forward for profitable business. The first stage of modular buildings is setting up schematic designs. This involves the surveying of the site and designing buildings in relation to the legal and architectural stipulations. This is done at the factory after the design is decided on. We ensure that the right protocol is used to set up the new buildings. This includes septic, electrical and plumbing designs.

The second phase involves design development. It is at this stage that the design work is approved and set for production. Prefabrication involves a lot of engineering work. The fact that all the building’s aspects are customised makes this phase, one of the most important. Diagrammatic documents will then be produced that include the floor, site and roof plans.

The final design phase is the engineering phase which takes into account the production of the final design. The final design will come with architectural drawings and an overview of the project as a whole. This will be done to begin the production of the units against the approved design work. Prefabricated commercial buildings need to take into account strict guidelines and legal stipulations before even the design work commences. The approved final design work is given to SMQB project managers on site for setup. Prefabrication begins about the same time site preparation does. This saves time between design, preparation and installation.
