Project Management
Design for Project Management
Project management begins right from design and planning. Construction management will purely deal with the design, planning and installation, management of the human resources and settling of the construction. The work that will be put into project management is purely determined by the design and build of the project. It is at this stage that the manager needs to understand and know what is required to bring the project to completion. The design and planning stage also determines the time-line and materials that will be used to finish the project.
The project manager is always faced by two challenges, the use of resources and meeting deadlines. SMQB are experts when it comes to executing the plans within the stipulated time. Time will always be a constraint during a construction process. Funds will also need to be well handled. Rushing a project will cost more while taking too long will cost time and money. The project manager needs to know when to get the work done. We understand that we have to put the resources together to produce the needed work at the needed time.
Doing this while sticking to the budget needs proficiency. Project management ensures that the resources are used wisely. The project manager is in charge of ensuring that the human resources attached to the project work like a well-oiled machine. The equipment and machinery put on the ground needs to be in top shape so as to carry out the needed tasks. A project manager is responsible for handing over the project officially. Most project managers will remain through the settling stage and possibly manage the premises.
